| Owen is 8 Wow....my little man is EIGHT. That just sounds old , a big kid! Unbelievable. I still haven't figured out where time is going.... I'm not digging it though. | | |
| May recap and more We had a crazy busy May! We attempted to go to Pandan  Island with a group of friends, but our plans were typhooned out....we did succeed later and had a great weekend ! The kids were on summer vacation so they attended a variety of camps: drama, hip hop, cooking, swimming...not a minute was wasted idling around! Lots of  fun was had at art exhibits, social and cultural outings (Pahiyas), happy hours, parties,....as for 'sad fun', we had our despedidas (farewell party) - on for the kids and one for the adults...all documented here, by 818 pictures! | Patrick is 10 months! Patrick is (a little over) 10 months! I thought he deserved a little update! He is doing just great and couldn't be more fun! He now has 6 teeth, with 2 more that have been trying to poke through for a while now.
He totally skipped baby foods, he is now eating regular food: brown rice, steamed veggies, fruit....and eating lots of everything! He's still breastfeeding often. He is about 25 lbs now! 
He just started crawling properly (he used to just do it army style) but he does only to get something he really loves. He's pulling himself up and he really wants you to hold his hands and help him walk, he hates it when you sit him down. With strangers he's funny, he doesn't smile easily but has a very serious look and studies faces very intently. He notices if I wear glasses on my head, a shower cap or anything unusual and wants to take it off.
He claps his hands (if you ask him to in English, Italian and Tagalog!) and waves bye bye.
I took pix of him yesterday when he fell in love with a hole....

| Our almost-Pandan-Island-vacation We had a great vacation to Pandan Island planned with our friends  and their kids (5 families, 12 kids)...it had been hard and quite fortuitous to organize our schedules and get hotel and flight booked for everyone...but it wasn't meant to be! Cyclone Crising came through the Philippines and our flight was finally canceled after hours of hanging out at the airport...we were bummed but determined to have a good time, so we organized a fun weekend together! We had pizza and drinks at the Lindqvists' to celebrate getting out of the airport, the kids had a campout, a birthday celebration and a day at Splash Island, the dads a day of golf and a jam session, and the moms dinner and mahjong....we certainly made up for the disappointment! | Trip to Club Paradise, Coron, Palawan For Holy Week we headed to Club Paradise in Coron, Palawan...yet another unbelievably beautiful tropical island. This vacation was an anomaly for us: 6 days at the same  beach, same hotel...we really just wanted to take it easy and we did! We swam, we dove, we snorkeled and saw lots of sting rays and huge turtles, we ate a ton and squeezed in some spa treatments too! The photo album is HERE and i promise there were other people at the resort, though it doesn't look like it!
